Send us your photos

If you have photographs from a Bladelands event, you can email them straight to our Flickr acount as follows...

Brief Instructions (for those of you who just want to get on with it):

  • Start a new email to .
  • Attach a few (~5-10, depending on the file size) photos ALL FROM THE SAME EVENT to the email.
  • In the subject line, write "tags: x.x" WITHOUT QUOTES, where "x.x" is replaced with the event number (ie if your photos are from Volume 1, Chapter 3, you would have a sbject line that reads: "tags 1.3").
  • Send your email - hey presto, your photos will appear on our flickr account, tagged with their event number.
  • Drop a quick email to to let us know you've uploaded some photos.

Full Instructions (for those of you who like the details):

  • Start a new email to , to attach your photos to.
  • Only email a few pictures at once - about 5 is best, you might get away with as many as 10, if the file sizes are small. Flickr doesn't cope well with huge numbers of photos sent at once, so 300 attached to one email probably won't upload!
  • If you send an individual photo, you can also use the subject line of your email to give it a name, and the body of your email to give it a description, if you wish (ie if you write anything before the tags in the subject line, that will be used as the name of the photo, and if you write anything in the body of the email, that will be used as the image description). That's up to you, though - tagging the image with the event number (as described above) is the most important thing. If you don't do this, the name of the photo will be the same as the filename, and the description will be left blank.
  • If you send multiple photos attached to one email, the name of each photo will be the same as the filename, and the description will be left blank - if you want to give photos specific names you should therefore alter the filename before sending the images. There is no way to add a description if you are sending multiple photos in one email.
  • MAKE SURE you TAG your photos with the number of the event they were taken at. To do this, at the end of the subject line of the email, put "tags: x.x" (no quotes), where "x.x" is replaced with the number of the event in the format "volume.chapter". Eg if your photos are from Volume 1, Chapter 3, you should put "tags: 1.3" at the end of your subject line (without quotes). If you are sending photos from multiple events PLEASE send them attached to separate emails, correctly tagged.
  • Once your email is complete, you have put the correct tag in the subject line, and your photos are attached, send it!
  • When you have sent all your photos to Flickr, please ALSO send a quick email to saying that you have uploaded some photos to Flickr, and which event they were from. This allows us to organise your photos into sets and collections, so they will be visible to people on this website.
Thanks!
